Hi, my name is Cheryl Wheeler. I moved to Winston from California when I was eleven and have truly loved the experience of living in a small town. Growing up in the church has given me many opportunities to serve in a variety of roles, including Sunday School teacher, Children’s Church leader, Bus Ministry volunteer, and Youth Leader.

 With a heart for ministry—especially for working with young children—my sister and I opened a private preschool and daycare center, which eventually transitioned into a preschool and kindergarten readiness program. I treasured those eight years and feel incredibly blessed by the many children who came through our doors.

 I’ve also had the privilege of working in public schools for a few years, specifically in the LRC room, and found great joy in that role as well.

 Now, I’m looking forward to another opportunity to work with little ones—teaching them academically, helping them grow in their faith, learning Bible verses together, and spending time in prayer. I'm excited to see what God has in store for this school year!
