I am a youth pastor by training and calling. It’s my deepest desire to see young men and women recognize who they are in Christ, and what amazing things He has in store for them. Whether it is in the classroom at CCA, the sidelines of a sporting event, or over a Coke at McDonalds I enjoy hearing their stories and sharing mine.

I grew up in Drain, Oregon and attended Northwest University in Kirkland, WA where I received a BA in Youth Ministries. My wife, Shelly, and I served in various churches and organizations in the Roseburg area before we felt the call to move to Uganda, East Africa. After serving overseas for 12 years God called us back to Roseburg where we joined the Pastoral Staff at Garden Valley Church. We have a passion for missions and our local community. We really do believe Jesus meant it when He said, “Go into ALL the world.” The neighbors across the street and the people across the ocean are both in “the world.”

Shelly and I have amazing children who came to us through birth, adoption, and marriage and two adorable grandchildren. We love to travel and hang out with family and friends, and I am a diehard documentary junkie!
